If so, be aware of your power management settings and your logins. By making sure these are applied you can save the headache of being away from the office only to reliaze that the document you needed is on a computer you can't connect to. If you have a local Windows login account and a domain login account, your power management settings are set individually for these. For example, if you turn off Standby for your domain login, it won’t be changed for your local login. Be sure to check your settings for EACH of your logins. (By the way, the setting that allows your network card to turn off automatically is global; that is, this setting is not dependent on your login account.)
